About the organizers


ACTE - Association Civic Tech Europe represents civic tech entities at the European level. Since 2022, ACTE and its members have been at the forefront of AI innovation applied to democracy, by supporting the "Democratic Shield" and promoting ethical and innovative civic tech applications. 

The European Capital of Democracy (ECoD) is an EU project whose main goal is to promote citizen participation and debate on democracy in Europe. Every year, a citizen jury designates a European Capital for Democracy starting with Barcelona in 2023/24.

About this event

Association Civic Tech Europe represents civic tech entities at the European level. Our mission is to empower citizens' participation in democratic processes through technological innovations, fostering new connections between voters and institutions. As an organization, we pride ourselves on being independent of any political or economic affiliations and act for the revitalization of our democracies.  

The event "AI & Democracy: The New Frontier of the EU" will focus on the upcoming opportunities and challenges during the new mandate.
